According to Mike Fischer, spokesperson for the National Sunroom Association, these are among the many names given to glassed-in additions popular in the remodeling industry - but to a building code official, they are just marketing terms. Code officials define these glassed in additions based on whether or not they meet the energy requirements necessary to be considered “habitable space.”
