Installation Trainer
The primary responsibility of an Installation Trainer is to assist our Betterliving® Patio & Sunroom dealers in training and developing their installation crews.
Position Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of all our products and how they are to be installed, including attending several installation classes to ensure expertise in our products.
- Participates in extensive travel at any time to our dealers in the USA and Canada. Some travel will be in a company-provided vehicle; other travel will be air travel.
- Provides ongoing training to our dealers and provides feedback on how to improve efficiencies of their crews.
- Participates in daily hands-on labor in installing our products with the dealers.
- Primarily works outside in all weather conditions.
- Completes assignments in a timely fashion according to schedule.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 5 years experience in carpentry, roofing and/or exterior home improvements; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with warranty resolution and dealing with homeowners.
- Knowledge of building codes and permit regulations.
- Must be willing and able to travel overnight up to 4 nights/week as part of the regular weekly schedule.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess valid travel documents to travel to Canada as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to write detailed, accurate reports.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, as well as construction estimating and field management software.
- Ability to work on Saturdays when needed.
- Ability to perform manual physical labor for approximately 8-12 hours per day.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 70 lbs.
