BETTERLIVING® SUNROOMS WINDOWS AND DOORS EARN THE ENERGY STAR®

Souderton, Pennsylvania… Betterliving Sunroom Windows and Doors have qualified for ENERGY STAR rating in all 50 states. Effective in August, 2004, the ENERGY STAR label will be applied to every vinyl-clad sunroom door and window (excluding transoms and knee walls) manufactured for Betterliving by Craft-Bilt Manufacturing Company.

In order to participate in the ENERGY STAR Partnership Program, Craft-Bilt Manufacturing Company had to submit sample doors and windows to an accredited testing facility. Not only does the test facility perform physical tests, it also runs computer simulations for verification of the results. All tests conform to the standards set forth by the National Fenestration Rating Council for determining U-Factor, Solar Heat Gain, and Visible Transmittance. Every ENERGY STAR qualified window and door is independently certified to meet or exceed strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Department of Energy.

ENERGY STAR was created by the Federal government to help consumers identify products that save energy and protect the environment. Energy efficient choices can save families about a third on their energy bill with similar savings of greenhouse gas emissions, without sacrificing features, style or comfort.
