Craft-Bilt Mfg. This is shown in the growth of our warranty program, where initially we offered a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty, which moved to 10, then 15 years, and now a 50 year guarantee. Founded in Philadelphia in 1946 by Donald “Bud” Stone, Craft-Bilt began with the manufacturing of Venetian blinds in the basement of an old school. The organization eventually grew and made its name through those colorful aluminum awnings that adorn the street side windows of so many row homes in Philadelphia.

In 1962 Craft-Bilt began the manufacture of Panel Craft® roof panels for carports and patio enclosures, and quickly discovered how strong and reliable their design performed in the field. The next logical step for the organization was to manufacture their own line of patio and sunrooms built on the foundation of quality and customization left by the founder.

An example of this commitment is that an individually numbered certificate is affixed to the packaging of every roof panel. The certificate allows dealers to trace every panel back to the manufacturing process. Every roof panel that leaves the facility meets standards tested by the Applied Testing & Geosciences, LLC Quality Assurance Agency and evaluation reports are readily available to all homeowners.
